PERSONALITY
Revel (noun and verb): lively and noisy enjoyment, especially with drinking and dancing
Revel is a little nihilistic: nothing really matters and he isn't sure he wants to believe much in an afterlife. All that's next is the grave, so what he does in the here and now is all that's important. And if people think he is a devil, he sees no reason not to indulge that now and then. Especially if they go out of their way to be nasty.
Revel tries to avoid making too many emotional connections. There's no use being soft when the world isn't going to be soft back. Despite this, he is, occasionally, caught off-guard and finds himself attached to people. He will say that he isn't, but his actions tend to say otherwise. Revel rarely offers verbal affection: instead, he shows it in what he does. Acts of service, gifts. And more than once he has disappeared from a place where he felt he was getting too close to people, leaving before he can be left.
He is indulgent, happy to sink into drinking, drug use, and sex as often as the mood strikes him.
BACKGROUND
One is a mistake; two is a curse.
Revel, born Corvi, was the first tiefling born to a human family in generations. At first, the family kept their strange offspring, despite concerns. When his brother was born two years later, their existence was deemed a curse. Rather than enduring the stigma of having two abominations, Corvi and his unnamed brother were sold to passing traders who knew they would fetch a good price if they could get their cargo to Thay.
Corvi was ten when they got away from that life. They were smuggled out of Thay, but survival was not easy. Free but alone, they fell in with urchins. Corvi took easily to crime and didn't hesitate to do what he needed to.
Corvi was fourteen when his brother left the city with a group of monks. It was just a year later that he took the name Revel and began training under a master rogue.
ABILITIES
Actions in Combat- Two-Weapon Fighting - Cunning Action: You can take a bonus action on each of your turns to take the Dash, Disengage, or Hide action. - Fast Hands: You can use the bonus action granted by your Cunning Action to make a Sleight of Hand check, use your thieves’ tools to disarm a trap or open a lock, or take the Use an Object action. - Uncanny Dodge: You can take a Bonus Action on each of your turns in Combat. This action can be used only to take the Dash, Disengage, or Hide action. At 5th level, when an attacker that you can see hits you with an Attack, you can use your Reaction to halve the attack's damage against you. - Evasion: You can nimbly dodge out of the way of certain area Effects, such as a red dragon's fiery breath or an Ice Storm spell. When you are subjected to an Effect that allows you to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, you instead take no damage if you succeed on the saving throw, and only half damage if you fail. - Magical Ambush: If you are hidden from a creature when you cast a spell on it, the creature has disadvantage on any saving throw it makes against the spell this turn.
